Module 8: Stay safe and keep learning

Run your 30- and 90-day review

Turn experience into a maintained Thailand system for costs, status, health, housing, community knowledge, and next decisions.

What to know first

What to know first

At 30 days, correct immediate systems: spending, commute, health, housing, documents, and support. At 90 days, revisit legal, tax, insurance, work, contract, and long-term decisions with current evidence and qualified help. Keep, change, stop, and contribute one item in every review.

The 30-day review fixes operations

Compare the planned and actual weekly map, budget, sleep, food, transport, work, health access, social connection, and administrative register. Look for repeated friction rather than one dramatic day. A small recurring commute or payment problem can cost more than a memorable one-off mistake.

Choose one thing to keep, one to change, one to stop, and one uncertainty to investigate. Update emergency contacts, accommodation and insurer details, document backups, and the providers you would use again.

The 90-day review revisits structure

Recheck immigration status and conditions, work activity, day count, tax questions, insurance, lease, school or family arrangements, vehicle use, banking, and major provider relationships. The relevant review date is driven by your facts and obligations; ninety days is a management rhythm, not a statement of law.

Ask which early choices were temporary and have quietly become permanent. Replace informal workarounds with written agreements, qualified advice, appropriate coverage, or a different route where needed.

Return value to the community

Contribute specific dated evidence: a moved entrance, changed phone, closed branch, new appointment process, lift outage, transport handoff, or provider-scope clarification. Protect private information and distinguish what you observed from what you inferred.

The academy is complete when it changes decisions, not when every page is marked read. Save the outputs, schedule the next review, and revisit official sources whenever timing or circumstances move.

Complete the course operating review

Use the outputs from all eight modules; do not grade the trip as a success or failure.

  1. 1Review each module output and mark it current, changed, or missing.
  2. 2Choose one keep, change, stop, and investigate action.
  3. 3Assign owner, evidence, and deadline to each action.
  4. 4Contribute one precise dated correction or community answer when you have evidence.

Output: A 30/90-day operating review and the next four actions.
