Module 2: Entry and document control

Complete and save the Thailand Digital Arrival Card

Use the official TDAC window, prepare the required facts, and keep the result available when connectivity fails.

What to know first

What to know first

Use only the official Immigration Bureau TDAC site within the published window. Prepare passport, travel, accommodation, and requested health information; check imported passport data; submit in English; then save the result offline. TDAC is not a visa.

Prepare before the window opens

Non-Thai nationals entering by air, land, or sea generally must complete TDAC before entry, and submission opens three days in advance including the arrival date. The Immigration Bureau currently exempts crew, technical or transit flights, and transit passengers who do not pass through immigration; consult the live FAQ because systems and exceptions can change.

Collect the passport, travel movement, Thailand accommodation, email address, and any health-declaration information the system requests. Use the first real accommodation you intend to reach rather than a vague city name, and make sure the transport number and arrival date describe the correct leg.

Review machine-read data

The system can read the machine-readable zone of a passport, but the official guide tells travellers to recheck imported details. Compare name, passport number, nationality, birth date, and expiry directly with the document. Autofill reduces typing; it does not transfer responsibility.

The guide requires details in English and explains which submitted identity fields cannot be updated. Slow down before the final step. For group submissions, keep each traveller’s result associated with the correct passport.

Keep an offline arrival packet

Save the TDAC document or QR result on the device and in a second offline location accessible to the traveller. Keep the accommodation address, onward or return evidence when relevant, insurance assistance details, and the contact for the person meeting you in the same packet.

TDAC does not grant a visa or guarantee entry. If the result is missing or the system fails, use the official help guidance or speak with the immigration officer at the checkpoint rather than paying an unofficial website that imitates the process.
