Lan Sang National Park is located in Tak Province, covering an area of over 65,000 rai (approximately 104 square kilometers). It was officially designated as a national park on February 14, 1979. The park features a complex mountain range interspersed with numerous streams, including Huai Lan Sang, Huai Tha Ley, Khlong Huai Sai, and Huai Um Yom. This area is home to diverse forest types such as dry evergreen forest, montane forest, pine forest, mixed deciduous forest, and dry dipterocarp forest. The park also supports a rich variety of wildlife, including species like the serow, barking deer, wild boar, and the Asiatic golden cat. Additionally, reptiles and smaller animals such as monkeys, gibbons, langurs, slow lorises, civets, wild rabbits, and flying lizards can be found here. These attributes make Lan Sang National Park a vibrant and well-preserved natural sanctuary.
