The town of “Kong Kha Rila” is a small community situated in the Yom River valley. Originally known as “Ban Kong Thani”, it has ancient roots dating back to the Ayutthaya period. Over time, it transformed into an abandoned city during the Thonburi era. However, when the early days of Bangkok (Rattanakosin) arrived, people returned and established their roots, elevating Kong Kha Rila to the status of a town. It is now part of the Kong Kha Rila District in Sukhothai Province, with its administrative center located on a small island in the middle of the Yom River. The area encompasses five villages, each contributing to the rich cultural heritage of the district
