About this place

It fully showcases the history of the ancient handwoven textiles of the Tai Phuan people from Ban Hat Siao, including the Jok 9 pattern, fabrics used in the monk ordination ceremony with an elephant procession, and fabrics used in wedding ceremonies, all of which are unique to the Tai Phuan handwoven textiles from Ban Hat Siao that have been passed down for hundreds of years. Additionally, there are both old and new Sinh Thongkham (gold-threaded skirts), with the older fabric being over 100 years old, and the new one woven specifically for wedding ceremonies. This Sinh Thongkham is a beautifully intricate fabric crafted in the traditional northern royal style. The shop also exhibits an ancient Tai Phuan-style house and demonstrates the weaving process of sinh teen chok (a type of foot border weaving) unique to the Tai Phuan people of Ban Hat Siao.
