Wangkrot Historic District is located in Mueang District, Phichit Province, about 6 kilometers from the city center. This historic community has a history spanning over 100 years. It was originally known as "Ban Tha E Tao Community" and "Wang Klom Community" before being renamed "Wang Krot Community" after the local railway station in 1997. Situated along the Nan River in Mueang District, Phichit Province, Wang Krot was once an important commercial center of Phichit. Nowadays, it has been preserved as an attractive cultural tourism destination.
